1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to anyone visiting novablox.pro or engaging Novablox Roofing Solutions Sdn Bhd ("Novablox", "we", "us") for roofing services in Malaysia. By submitting an enquiry, accepting a quotation, or proceeding with works, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
Every quotation we issue is valid for thirty (30) days from its date of issue, unless a different validity is stated on the quotation itself. After the validity period we reserve the right to re-quote where material prices have shifted.
Quotations are based on the conditions visible during our site survey. Where works expose latent damage that could not reasonably be identified during the survey — for example, severely degraded timber under existing tiles — we will inform you in writing and agree any additional charge before continuing.
3. Acceptance & deposits
A quotation becomes a binding engagement once you confirm acceptance in writing (email is sufficient) and pay the agreed mobilisation deposit, which is typically 30% of the contract value for projects above a stated threshold. Smaller repair jobs may not require a deposit; we will say so explicitly on the quote.
4. Scheduling & delays
We commit to start and completion windows in good faith based on the information available at the time. Delays due to weather, materials availability, or unforeseen structural conditions may occur. We will notify you promptly and agree a revised schedule.
5. Site access & preparation
You agree to grant our crew safe and reasonable access to the site during the agreed working hours. Where parking, scaffolding, or temporary protection of belongings is required, we will agree the arrangements with you in advance.
6. Workmanship warranty
Targeted repairs are covered by a twenty-four (24) month workmanship warranty. Complete roof replacements are covered by a ten (10) year workmanship warranty. Both warranties cover defects in the installation work itself and exclude consequential damage caused by force majeure events such as cyclonic winds, falling trees, vandalism, or modifications carried out by parties other than Novablox.
7. Payment terms
Unless agreed otherwise in the quotation, the balance is due within fourteen (14) calendar days of project completion. Invoices not paid within the agreed period may accrue late-payment interest at the prevailing Malaysian commercial bank base lending rate plus 2% per annum.
8. Variations
If you request changes to the scope after works have commenced, we will quantify the variation in writing and obtain your agreement before proceeding. Variations may affect the overall completion date.
9. Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the contract under which the claim arises. We carry contractor's all-risk insurance and Workmen's Compensation Trust coverage; certificates are available on request.
10. Dispute resolution
If you are not happy with any aspect of our work, please contact us first by email or phone so we can try to resolve it. Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to mediation in Kuala Lumpur in accordance with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) mediation rules.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
